why ausnep is committed to oral health care in nepal....

Nepal continuously faces an oral healthcare crisis

There is only one dentist per 20,000 people

Untreated oral carries is Nepal’s most prevalent childhood

disease, exceeding even malnutrition.

69% of adults over 50 suffer from oral disease, making it one of the most widespread & neglected areas of  health care

58%  of children suffer from bacterial tooth decay

the Nepal government  allocates  5-6% of its annual budget toward the  Health sector -  oral heath receives only a very small % of that

Oral health is an essential prerequisite for a healthy life. Attempting to maintain good oral health in developing countries like Nepal is a challenging task.  The data shows a high prevalence of oral health problems in the population of the country. Many of these diseases in the population are due to poverty and lack of oral health awareness.
